Proof Of Life pings a user-defined list of network-connected machines to test if they are reachable. The number of machines that you can monitor is unlimited. For each machine you can receive an email sent to a nominated address with the updated status and this is configurable for when the machine goes online, offline or for both conditions.

Features include:

• Add machine IP address or DNS-resovable name.
• Configure SMTP mail server settings used to send notifications. Validate email settings with a test email and resolve mail sending issues.
• Optionally run the application on start-up.
• A clean and simple user interface. The main window is DPI aware, resizeable and customisable to suit your screen and the amount of data you need to view. There are no more controls than necessary to do the job, and everything has hover-enabled help popups that describes what it does. The application will remember your customisation between program launches.
• Click the App information bottom right of the window to recall important folder locations and change settings.

• Client form now attempts to trap basic name or IP address errors at the point of entry.
• Clients now validate name or IP address during first ping and disable invalid entries.
• Client grid highlights invalid names or IP addresses in red, with help text identifying them as such.
• When editing, the form shows (invalid) above the name field when the entry has failed validation. Updating the client will reset the invalid status.
